Alice is trapped in a nightmare.

She leads two lives, both real to her, both flawless in their logic and texture, both filled with people that she loves and hates. One of these is a dream. She has no way of knowing which. A borderline junkie-heiress in Manhattan, or a recovering psych patient in Sydney, when Alice sleeps in one life, she wakes into the other.

Other than her own memory of them, her worlds are separate and seamless. In both her lives she tries to find clues to discover the root of her sickness, but nothing crosses over. She may as well be two completely different people. Caught in this impossible status quo, never able to bring herself to believe that the life she’s leading is true, Alice is trapped. Not believing either, she believes nothing. Then one day, her lives are fractured when something does cross over. First in Sydney then Manhattan, Alice meets a girl dressed in green. She knows this girl for what she is the key to her escape. But as she unravels the girl’s secret, the realities of not one but both lives are challenged.

The question becomes who is it that she’s really waking?

With a strong female protagonist and a plot that keeps turning until the very end, this thought provoking psychological thriller will stay with you well after you've put the book down.

So, I am absolutely not certain I can write a review that will do this book justice. I won't try to summarize - the summary under the product description is quite good as it stands.

I will say, I had a very hard time doing anything else while reading this book - including sleeping. I was actually afraid to go to sleep - and end up like Alice. Either of them. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out plots and who's who and what's what. This book kept me twisting, turning, changing my mind and changing my perspective.

The author writes inordinately well from both a gender and a socio-economic perspective. His descriptions of locale and mood immerse you in the gritty reality (or unreality) of both locations and you feel as if you are rolling head over tail as he changes POV. Pacing is excellent, as is dialogue and I just can't say enough, again, about the skill with which he keeps you guessing.

I could find more adjectives to describe why this is a MUST READ, but I'm really afraid to give away the story - and you need to experience it for yourself. It's unlike anything I've read before.

Undreamed Psychological Thriller Psychological Suspense Mystery Book 2 eBook Paul WesternPittard Reviews

This was enjoyable. I did not quite see whre it was going, so that kept my interest piqued!
Just read Paul Western-Pittards book Undreamed, Undreamed almost cover to cover in one go! It is a true page-turner. Quite a complex plot written in an easy, dark and edgy style. You soon get involved with Alice an intriguing, gorgeous young woman who has two distinct and complex personalities linked by her awakening and sleep patterns. This edge of your seat ride keeps you intrigued right up to her last wake up. Life will not be the same after reading Pauls Undreamed, especially when I go to sleep at night! Surely destined for a worldwide audience this mystery thriller will go on to make a sensational feature film.
Im going to try to write is review vague without giving anything away so I may sound a little odd...I thought it was a pretty interesting book and it kept me constantly guessing what was really going on. I kept thinking I knew what was really happening but it actually kept me wondering right up until the very end. It kept me anticipating the next chapter (which is important to me because I love to be distracted by books to pass the time quickly...that's why I read while I'm running in the treadmill!) This book was a simple read yet had some great psychological twists for wanting to figure out the puzzle of the plot. I wish the ending chapter had a bit more because it kind of ended abruptly but all in all it was pretty good. )
From the very first page, Paul Western-Pittard dragged me effortlessly in the mind(s) of 2 very differnet lead characters and I didn't want to leave either of them.

Every so often I had to remind myself that this was guy writing, such was the mesmorising ease with which he narrates each female's inner monologue. The vivid descriptions and naturalistic dialog makes for easy reading, but that's not to say that his style is simplistic. Far from it. Western-Pittard weaves and connects his characters and plots in such a way that you're never left in the dark for too long.

I can't recommend this book highly enough and I sincerely look forward to reading more from this exciting author.
This is the fascinating story - strangely lyrical at times and brutally honest for the most part - of a young woman (Alice, appropriately named) caught between nightmares a woman with a past that is hinted at but never fully revealed till the end. But unlike Lewis-Carroll's Alice, 'Undreamed Alice' appears to have two separate identities - each masterfully handled by the author - and the question of which identity is real (or indeed, whether both are false) is put to us convincingly, in a clear and direct style. It is put so convincingly, in fact, that we find this same question still being posed almost until the very end of this disturbing psychological imbroglio. But for all its darkness, there is light, and a sense of final redemption. I'll say no more, except to give it a five.
I just.... How do you even write a review for a story that leaves you in tears and shaking? Paul Western-Pittard is a magnificent writer. He keeps you guessing to the last chapter. You know a book is good when you start reading it, figure out what you choose to believe is real, and then have that reality completely shattered somewhere in the middle. I could never truly decide what I believed, and when I found out the truth I was utterly and completely shocked, and moved to tears. Alice (Sydney or New York) is a troubled soul who has secrets in both lives. Be careful what you think is real, because everything can change in a moment. I would recommend this book to anyone. It draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the final page, making you stay up to ungodly hours of the night reading it, just to see what happens next. Every aspect of this book seemed very realistic, and makes you get lost in it's worlds. Thank you Paul for writing such a fantastic book!
Loved this book! Characters well drawn, plot a little confusing but considering the premise, that was unavoidable. I almost quit reading after the first few chapters because one of the protagonists (or I guess it was the same one...see what I mean?) was so obnoxious, but stuck with it and as I came to understand her, she grew on me. Descriptions of hallucinations and mental illness were riveting. Just an excellent, innovative idea for a plot and carried through well! Will read another by this author.
